“We’re delighted to welcome Blog Preston to our community of more than 100 high quality independent publishers from across the UK,” said Emma Meese, director of ICNN.
“ICNN provides a sense of community, a single voice, and support for independent titles.
“In light of persistent worries about the industry’s future, it is heartening to witness the independent
industry and outstanding titles such as Blog Preston.
Established in 2009, Blog Preston functions as a Community Interest Company, reinvesting any surplus earnings into community-based reporting about the city and its environs.
“Being a part of the ICNN network means we’re able to share what we’ve learned in 15 years but also get fresh ideas and new approaches we can look to use on Blog Preston too,” said Ed Walker, co-editor and founder of Blog Preston.
“Media and journalism never stand still, and it’s wonderful to see ICNN growing and adding new members at a time when independent local publishing in the UK is still thriving.”
