Minnesota Timberwolves Board Of Directors Appoint Anthony Edwards As…..
With Anthony Edwards continuing to rise in the superstar rankings, the Minnesota Timberwolves may have the next big thing on their squad.
Following his 2023 FIBA World Cup coming-out party, Edwards had a successful 2024 NBA Playoffs run that culminated in a trip to the Western Conference Finals.
The young, talented guard, however, wasn’t finished as he contributed significantly off the bench to Team USA’s victory in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
Edwards is a fierce defender who loves his responsibilities and is one of the league’s top scorers.
Maybe this past postseason, when Edwards and the Timberwolves swept a Kevin Durant-led Phoenix Suns club, was the turning point.
During a Q&A session, Edwards and Durant sat together, and the former made jokes about sending the latter home via Bleacher Report.
Because he is my all-time favorite player, I felt a little awful. Edwards remarked, “I didn’t want to send him home like that.”
The Suns star appears to take the jibe well, as Edwards has openly discussed how Durant was his favorite player as a child.
Edwards’ performance in sweeping a Durant-led team during the playoffs was very amazing.
The most intriguing thing about Edwards, though, is that, given his youth, he undoubtedly has some unrealized potential.
It won’t be long until Edwards is named the league’s best player if he makes one more breakthrough this season.
