A once-iconic defensive lineman for La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid is expected to assume a key position with Saudi team Al-Nassr.

The Athletic, who identify the person in question as Fernando Hierro, claims as much.

Following time on the field and the sidelines, the former Spanish international has been honing his skills in the boardroom in recent years.
Hierro has served as Guadalajara’s sporting director since 2022, when the giants of Mexico took over.

And the 56-year-old now has a comparable role in the Middle East planned.
