MEN Sport believes that negotiations to secure Greenwood’s permanent departure from United are progressing, with only a year remaining on his contract. Juventus, Valencia, and Benfica are just three of the teams interested in signing the 22-year-old.
Lazio are presently in negotiations, while United are in talks with French club Marseille about a possible deal, having piqued their interest during his time in Spain last season.
Greenwood spent the season on loan with Getafe, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 36 games. The Spanish club is eager to facilitate a return agreement for the attacker, who said he was “happy” with the club last season.
Last week, Getafe manager Angel Torres appeared to hint that the player was nearing a return. He remarked, “We expect to get positive news soon, and I hope he stays another year.
