Exiled Man United winger returns to training after patching up differences with Erik ten Hag. Jadon Sancho has returned to Manchester United training after face-to-face meetings with Erik ten Hag, with both parties deciding to move on from their disagreement last season.

Jadon Sancho has resumed training with Manchester United following direct discussions with Erik ten Hag, where they both agreed to move past their previous conflict. Sancho, acquired from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million, has not featured for the club since last August.

The winger faced exclusion from the first team after he refused to apologize for a social media post in which he claimed he was being unfairly blamed following criticism from Ten Hag regarding his training performance.

The 24-year-old had a successful loan spell back at Dortmund starting in January, culminating in an appearance in the Champions League final at Wembley, although Dortmund lost 2-0 to Real Madrid. During this period, United were reportedly open to selling Sancho for £40 million, with Juventus and Dortmund expressing interest in a permanent deal.

In a surprising development, Sancho and Ten Hag appear to have reconciled, with United announcing the Englishman’s return to pre-season training. The club’s website stated, “Jadon Sancho returned for testing on Wednesday following his loan spell at Borussia Dortmund during the second half of last season. The 24-year-old forward then trained with the group on Thursday.”

Reports indicate that Sancho will not join the squad traveling to Norway to face Rosenberg on Monday due to his later return to training. However, he is expected to be available for the remainder of the pre-season matches. While Sancho’s departure from Old Trafford this summer remains a possibility, his return to training suggests he could still have a future at the club if he chooses to stay.

Sancho, who has two years left on his contract, has made 82 appearances for Manchester United, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists.
