BREAKING ✅✅: “We Are Not Selling For Less That £30M” Arsenal Label Offer For Talented Academy Player A JOKE, Arsenal Fans Jubilate After The Gunners Reject Offer For Player Valued At £60m
West Ham United have been busy in the transfer market this summer, with Julen Lopetegui and Director of Football Tim Steidten aiming to bolster their squad following a ninth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
The Hammers have already secured the signings of Max Kilman, Luis Guilherme, and Wes Foderingham. Now, the focus has shifted to adding an Arsenal player to their ranks: Reiss Nelson.
According to Sam Dean of the Telegraph, West Ham are keen to acquire the services of the Arsenal winger, who currently earns £100,000 a week.
However, the reported fee of £15 million is nothing short of a joke considering Nelson’s calibre. Arsenal valued the 24-year-old at £30 million just a few months ago, and despite Nelson’s desire to leave the Emirates Stadium, the North London club should not entertain such a low offer.
Nelson, signed a new four-year contract in July 2023, presumably after receiving assurances from Mikel Arteta about increased playing time. However, with just one Premier League start last season, it’s understandable that the talented winger is frustrated and seeking more opportunities.
West Ham’s attempt to capitalise on Nelson’s situation with a £15 million bid is a clear undervaluation. Given his potential and skill set, a player like Nelson should command a fee closer to £60 million in today’s market.
Arsenal must hold firm and reject this bid, recognising Nelson’s worth and not allowing a rival Premier League club to acquire his services for a pittance.
In addition to Nelson, West Ham are also eyeing another English talent, Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United. Reports suggest that Manchester United are open to selling the right-back for around £15 million.
This potential double deal could see West Ham secure both Nelson and Wan-Bissaka for roughly £30 million combined, which would undoubtedly be excellent value for the Hammers.
However, while this might be a dream scenario for West Ham, it is crucial for Arsenal to stand their ground and demand a fair price for Nelson. Allowing such a talented player to leave for a mere £15 million would be a grave mistake. West Ham’s bid should be seen for what it is: an opportunistic lowball offer that Arsenal must promptly reject
