BREAKING ✅✅: “He Is The One, Mikel Arteta Sign Him” Top Journalist Who Supports Arsenal Jubilates As Edu Gasper Jets Of To Spain To Meet With Agent Of £60M Arsenal Target
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has been urged by Piers Morgan to sign Spanish winger Nico Williams following his scintillating display at Euro 2024.
Morgan, a well-known Arsenal supporter, was as impressed as any fan watching Williams in action against Georgia in their Euro 2024 round of 16 tie on Sunday evening.
The winger, who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, has seen his stock soar after consecutive eye-catching performances.
Morgan, one of Arsenal’s most notable fans, has now called on Arteta to secure one of European football’s hottest commodities, doing so with just two words. Whether Arteta will heed this advice remains to be seen.
Morgan did not mince words when he took to Twitter on Sunday night following Spain’s impressive victory. He posted a picture of Williams with the caption: “Sign him,” tagging Arsenal boss Arteta.
The 21-year-old Spanish winger, currently playing for Athletic Club in La Liga, had attracted interest even before this summer’s premier international tournament. However, his stock has risen significantly since.
Williams and his brother Inaki have been with Athletic Club since their youth, but the former is set to move on to greater successes this summer. Chelsea have shown concrete interest in the winger, whose contract includes a £49 million release clause, but have yet to activate the clause or advance negotiations.
Arsenal have also been named as potential suitors for Williams, though the player has chosen not to acknowledge any links, focusing instead on his European Championship form.
Chelsea are in greater need of a spark and goals, with only Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson scoring double figures in the league last season, and Raheem Sterling seemingly entering the latter stages of his career.
Arsenal, on the other hand, already possess a formidable forward line. However, a player like Williams could help them catch Manchester City next season.
