Barcelona Put 21-Year-Old La Masia Forward Up for Sale
Barcelona have decided to put 21-year-old forward Ansu Fati up for sale, according to a report from SPORT. Despite this, Ansu will still participate in pre-season activities. However, the club’s main focus is on finding him a new team.
Currently, Barcelona has received only loan offers from other Spanish clubs, as Ansu has ruled out moving to Saudi Arabia. Last season, he was on loan at Brighton and Hove Albion in England, where he struggled with injuries and had a limited impact.
Initially, there were reports suggesting that Barcelona would give Ansu a chance to prove himself during pre-season. While partly true, the club has informed him that he is not in their plans for the upcoming season. This message was conveyed by sporting director Deco in a meeting with Ansu last Thursday.
Ansu is under contract with Barcelona until 2027. The club’s management is now tasked with finding a suitable alternative for him, whether through a permanent transfer or another loan deal. Ansu had hoped to prove his worth to new coach Hansi Flick and secure a place in the team. However, with a well-stocked forward lineup that includes Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Vitor Roque, Ferran Torres, and Joao Felix, there is no room for him.
In conclusion, while Ansu will participate in pre-season, Barcelona is actively seeking potential destinations for him through a transfer or loan deal. The next few months will be crucial in determining his future
