Coach McDermott revealed that linebacker Bernard, defensive tackle Carter, and wide receiver Samuel will not play against the Seattle

Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott stated on Friday that starter linebacker Terrel Bernard, receiver Curtis Samuel, and backup rookie defensive tackle DeWayne Carter will not face Seattle this weekend. Bernard is out with an ankle injury sustained during a 34-10 victory over Tennessee last weekend. This comes after he missed two games earlier due to a pectoral injury he sustained in Week 2. Before getting hurt, Bernard had eight tackles and recovered a fumble. Carter was placed on injured reserve and will miss at least four games due to a wrist injury that requires surgery. He could return for the Bills’ game against San Francisco on December 1, following their bye week.

Carter’s playing time had been increasing, and he made an important play last game by stopping running back Tony Pollard for a 2-yard loss on fourth down, which helped set up the Bills’ scoring drive.

Samuel is out for an unknown period due to a pectoral injury he sustained last Sunday. His absence means the AFC East-leading Bills (5-2) will have four receivers available, including Amari Cooper, who was acquired in a trade with Cleveland last week, as they prepare to face the NFC West-leading Seahawks (4-3) on Sunday.
