Gresini Racing MotoGP rider Marc Márquez stood out on Sunday morning during the Warm Up session for the Australian Grand Prix, topping the timesheets. With a time of 1:27.812, the Spanish rider showed he was in great shape, starting from the front row of the grid in second place.

Márquez finished the session with a 0.047-second advantage over Ducati Lenovo Team rider and reigning world champion Francesco Bagnaia. Bagnaia had a positive session, important to reduce his 16-point championship deficit. His teammate, Enea Bastianini, completed the front row, crowning an excellent morning for the Ducati team.

Prima Pramac Racing’s Jorge Martín, who took pole position for the Grand Prix, was fourth, 0.270 seconds behind the leader, keeping expectations high to close a brilliant weekend at the Phillip Island circuit.
